Even though 2 months may sound like a long trip, it's not. We have an ambitious route planned - one that would have us encircle nearly the entire country. Though plans are going to change and destinations will be added and subtracted, we've mapped ourselves out to have some sort of reference.

Introduction:
Sam Thompson and Misha Lichtental have finished their 5 1/2 month program in Jerusalem, Israel. Not ready to return home, they decided to embark on a 2 month journey in India. Keep up on the progress of their trip by reading the posts, checking the photographs, and watching the short videos!
looks like that train goes pretty fast. Low the high class neighborhoods you're passing.
ReplyDeleteHows it going man, looks like ur having a blast. My dad's actually was in india from last week up till next weekend, but not anywhere near you guys. Even he is saying its hot, so I'm sure that 2nd class no A/c train was hell on wheels. From what I remember its bearable as long as the train is moving at a decent clip, but those stops seem like forever. It might be worth investing in one of those fan/water sprayers. It seems like a waste of bottled water, but it can really be a lifesaver. Now that you're in the south you'll feel the unadulterated Indian heat, it'll grab you at the throat and squeeze until it drives you crazy or you submit and never leave the safety of A/C again.
